Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Justice Studies) and a Bachelor of Laws. He first joined the firm as a law clerk in 1999, but left in 2001 to pursue a career in the Queensland Police Service. After serving 9 years, including 3 as a Detective, Matthew re-joined Smith and Stanton in 2010 and was admitted as a lawyer.
Matthew practises in commercial law and property law. As the son of founding partners Bruce and Judy, Matthew is committed to ensuring that Smith and Stanton’s clients continue to be served to the high standards they have come to expect from the firm.
