Succession Law Secretary – Part Time or Full Time

The candidate must be experienced in working within the succession law field.  We seek applicants who have a minimum of 5 years recent experience with Queensland based firms.

Duties will include word processing and formatting (mostly from dictation), preparing succession law documents for Courts, Titles Office and other Government departments and preparing wills and powers of attorney from solicitor’s instructions.  Other duties include answering phone calls, dealing with clients, data entry, administrative work and diary management.

The successful candidate will be placed with another experienced succession law secretary and will be working for a number of experienced lawyers.  Remuneration will be based on your level of experience.

Commercial/Property Law Secretary – Part Time or Full Time

The candidate must be experienced in working within the commercial and property law field.  We seek applicants who have a minimum of 5 years recent experience with Queensland based firms.

Duties will include word processing and formatting (mostly from dictation), preparing documents such as contracts, leases, Titles Office forms, and other similar documents from solicitor’s instructions.  Other duties include answering phone calls, dealing with clients, data entry, administrative work and diary management.

The successful candidate will need to work independently for a number of experienced lawyers.  Remuneration will be based on your level of experience.

The candidate must have at least 5 years post admission experience in Queensland and have worked extensively in the succession law field.  Part time and full time applicants will be considered.  Remuneration will be dependent on experience.  You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties will include providing high levels of quality service and advice to our clients with respect to wills (both simple and complex), powers of attorney, estate administration, estate litigation and succession planning.

Smith & Stanton will pay for your CPD points, QLS membership and practising certificate each year.

Commercial/Property Lawyer

The candidate must have at least 5 years post admission experience in Queensland and have worked in both the commercial and property law areas.  Part time and full time applicants will be considered.  Remuneration will be dependent on experience.  You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties will include providing high levels of quality service and advice to our clients with respect to commercial and retail leasing, commercial and residential conveyancing, business sales/purchases and general commercial/business matters.
